Overview

La mia arepa and burger, nestled in the heart of Miami at 11100 SW 216th St, offers a refreshing taste of Venezuelan flavors brought to life through its carefully crafted menu. The restaurant primarily revolves around hamburgers but truly shines with its authentic Venezuelan staples like the Hallaca and Empanada De Cazón. These dishes represent the soul of Venezuelan cuisine—rich, hearty, and full of cultural significance.

The Hallaca is a standout, embodying tradition in every bite. Wrapped in plantain leaves and filled with a savory mix of meats and vegetables, it captures the essence of home-cooked comfort food. Similarly, the Empanada De Cazón—a delicious shark meat empanada—while it received mixed feedback regarding texture, remains a must-try for those eager to explore distinctive tastes beyond the typical fare.

The array of natural juices such as Soursop, Passion Fruit, and Blackberry further complement the meal. These fresh, vibrant beverages provide a perfect balance, cutting through the richness of the dishes and offering a refreshing pause.

Beyond the food, the experience at La mia arepa and burger stands out for its warm and attentive service. Customers like Kleiber Johan Zambrano Bermon and Pedro Talavera highlight the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. Zulay’s welcoming smile and genuine hospitality add a personal touch that enhances the overall dining experience.

While the ambiance is casual and focused on comfort, it might not compete with upscale venues, but it’s the kind of place that invites regular visits—a spot that feels familiar and welcoming, perfect for families, food enthusiasts, and those seeking a taste of Venezuelan culture in Miami.

In essence, La mia arepa and burger serves more than just food; it offers a culinary window into Venezuelan heritage with dishes prepared thoughtfully and an environment that makes every guest feel valued. It’s a destination recommended for anyone craving authentic flavors paired with sincere service.

I won't give all 5 because it's not the best atmosphere and the cazón empanada was hard. I'm looking forward to coming back soon and trying it again, and I will change this review, I also bought the HALLACA and will try it today. Thanks to Zulay, she's very good as a customer service, attentive, and a good attitude with a nice smile, and she always appreciated it. You never know once a person just needs a smiley face to have a better day.
